SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Moon Watcher

This piece showed up while I was on the phone with a client. At first it was on a post-it. Then that evening I went home and did it in pencil on bristol and inked it with waterproof India ink. At this point I've scanned it into the computer and am playing with the idea of doing it with a wash, guoache or finishing it in ink. In the mean time, I'm also playing around with in in photoshop. My sister and mom think it has influences of the Wizard of Oz (a movie I'm not a huge fan of) Another friend said it has influences of Kristonia and another Real Musgrave. I guess you could say I just like to play and have a style thats familiar. Who knows this could be a very good thing. Its also the first thing I've drawn that isn't an illumination for a scroll in over two years. I've been told he'd be great for a poem or childrens story book so any of you writers out there have at it!!!
