SciFi and Fantasy Art: Pan the piper

One night I was fooling around in my studio and this little piper showed up. I had just finished drawing the illumination and he popped into the drawing and started to play his golden pipes. All of a sudden the leaves took on golden touches! One of these days I may use him in either a scroll, illuminated manuscript page or notecards. Right now he seems happy to just play his pipes and watch me work.

Done on pergamenata, gouache, india ink and gold leafing.
